What a launch support specialist can do for your course business

As a launch support specialist, my role is to take the stress out of launching courses. The tech and design tasks can feel overwhelming. Who was looking for course setup and launch support?

Rebecca Tolin is a mind-body practitioner who helps people recover from chronic fatigue, pain, and other mind-body symptoms.

In her course, Be Your Own Medicine, Rebecca teaches people how to safely process emotions, regulate their nervous system, retrain their brain, and find self-compassion. 

Why did Rebecca look for a launch support specialist to help with her course and launch?

Rebecca was feeling overwhelmed with all her tasks for her online course. She knew she needed help, and hired me for some of the tasks she needed help with. Over time, I’ve helped her with a lot of different tasks for her launches.

Rebecca had run her course on Mighty Networks before, but wanted to move it to Thinkific. Her site and sales page are on Squarespace, where she also had her email list, but she wanted more automation options for her emails and came to me for advice and help with the migration of both her course platform and her email list.

What did I help her with as a launch support specialist?

Platform Migrations & Automations Set Up

I helped Rebecca move her course to Thinkific.

I moved her email list to Mailerlite, so we could better segment students and automate course and marketing emails. I set up an automation using Zapier to add new students from Thinkific to Mailerlite, and set up automated emails in Mailerlite to welcome new students.

Sales Page Optimization & Design

I audited her sales page and suggested she add a “What’s Inside” section on her course sales page to give potential students a comprehensive overview of the course content. I also designed this section on her Squarespace sales page.

Live Cohort Course Set Up

Rebecca runs her course with live cohorts once or twice a year. For each launch, I duplicated the course in Thinkific, updated pricing, set up coupons (and automated expiration for these coupons), and updated the registration links on her sales page. 

Course Materials Design, Audio and Video Editing

Additionally, I designed slide decks and interactive PDF checklists, enhancing her course content. I also edited video and audio for her course, such as creating the module overview videos and cutting out disruptions in live session recordings.
